Call for Session and Workshop Proposals

June 30, 2024 Deadline to submit proposals
The Scientific Committee of the FELASA 2025 Congress on the topic “Reducing Severity in Animal Research” welcome suggestions for sessions and workshops of the scientific program.
Proposals should be submitted through the following link:
Program highlights will include
180 seconds short, to the point presentations for – researchers to present their work on the topics:
- “In 180 seconds: My 3Rs in practice”:
- “In 180 seconds: My Culture of Care in practice”
- “In 180 seconds: My socialization, habituation and enrichment practice”
Sessions and workshops dedicated to animal caretakers and technicians
Streams:
- Demonstrating ethical awareness and accountability
- Reducing severity
- Improving care and welfare
- Fostering Culture of Care
- Aiming for a better future
Session & Workshop Proposals
Session Proposal
The length of the sessions could be 75 or 90 minutes. The Scientific Committee will finally decide on the length of the sessions.
To propose a session, you have to include the following information:
- Session title
- Description of the proposal including the objective, how the session talks fit together, the main speaker, and the target audience
- Chair and Co-chair including contact details (institution, city, country, phone, and email address)
- A maximum of 3 speakers including the tentative presentation titles and contact details (institution, city, country and email address). The time allotted to the presentations will be from 20 to 30 minutes.
- The scientific committee may fill sessions with other submitted abstracts.
Workshop proposals
The length of the workshops could be 75 or 90 minutes, or multiple thereof (not at the same time). The Scientific Committee will finally decide on the length of the workshops.
To propose a workshop, you have to include the following information:
- Workshop title
- Description of the proposal including the objective, how the workshop activities fit together, the target audience, and the minimum and maximum number of participants.
- Chair and Co-chair including contact details (institution, city, country, phone, and email address)
- Speakers including the tentative presentation titles and contact details (institution, city, country, and email address)
Funds for sessions and workshops
- One free registration to the whole congress per session and workshop.
- Travel reimbursement of a maximum of 600 € to cover 1 night accommodation and travel expenses (economy) per session and workshop. This amount cannot be split among speakers. The reimbursement will be done after the congress, based on the original receipts provided, and to only one speaker.
- No Gala Dinner ticket is included.
